How to Get Rid of Stalkers?

Stalkers are responsible for mental harassment for many people. Some people might take actions against them and some would sit and wonder what to do about them. First and foremost is to keep a record of where (all places) he’s been following you or how many and what threatening messages or emails has he been sending you. It’s important to keep a track record of them to know how far he is going to create problems for you.

You must warn the stalker not to stalk you in future. In case he just wants to draw your attention towards him defeat his purpose. Ignore him. If he’s contacting you through emails or phone calls, change numbers and email IDs. If he is visiting your house or knows your residence, move out for some time. Try never moving out alone due to possible harm that he may intend to do you. Don’t visit deserted places or places where there is a possibility of danger. If things get ugly, take help of the police. It is not safe to keep ignoring a stalker all the time.

If he is a cyber stalker and sends you annoying or irritating emails respond back warning him or again you can opt for ignoring him. Spam his email address. Avoid going to chat rooms for the time being which you know he could be following you there. Avoid initiating conversations with strangers. It may be him via another email ID. These stalkers also try to trouble you through silly things just to get your attention by sending virus through emails or by hacking your email IDs. In such a case change your passwords. If that doesn’t work change your ID. Do not open emails coming from unknown origins.

You must remember to carry your mobile phone every time you move out of your house. Try not moving out alone. Ask your friend(s) or family member(s) to accompany you. Carry self defense tools like pepper spray for worst conditions.

Avoid talking to strangers when you are out of your house. You must know the nearest police station to the place you are visiting. If you suspect someone’s has been following for quite a long time, drive your way to the police station. In case of any emergencies or worsened case, do not hesitate in contacting the police. They are there to help you out.
