How to Get Rid of Itchy Skin?

An itch can be embarrassing, and become painful with neglect. If you have a persisting itch, it is possible that it may develop into a wound and take a lot of time to heal. You could get a lot of over the counter creams and solutions and apply the same. Or you could use home remedies to get rid of it.

Under home remedies you can use a paste of soda-bicarbonate. In case of an itch caused by mosquito bites, caterpillar stings, nettle stings or just any other type of itchy skin like eczema infections or psoriasis you can use the paste. It can be used for burns and is handy to have around with children in the holiday season.

What you will need is baking soda, cold water, a ceramic container as well as a metal based spoon. Put 2 tablespoons soda, in a container which is ceramic / glass. Then mix the chilled water using the metal spoon. Wash the skin where it is itchy slowly and gently. Pat the skin dry but do not rub at all. Apply the soda paste to the infected area. You could use a silver spoon instead of the metal spoon. When it dies and falls off, rinse the area in cool water.

Within a few days the itching will stop and the skin will be normal. You can use this treatment as a remedy for mosquito bite itching also.
